Iranian / Turkic / Mongolic Phonological and Grammatical
Correspondences
Version
2.1 (Published 2009, minor corrections 03/2012)
Below
you can find the lists of potential cognates in basic vocabulary
in Iranic,
Turkic, and Mongolic. It would probably be mistaken to jump to
conclusions trying
to find any explanations, so this material is provided for consideration
only.
Nevertheless, the most likely explanation is a deep Nostratic
relationship among
the three families.
Moreover,
note that the hypothesis of Iranic and Turkic relatedness has been
corroborated
by the Y-chromosome haplogroup genealogical studies.
|
Only the basic vocabulary items with high semantic stability have
been used
in this study.
